Day 64 Revd Tim Heaton’s Thought for the Day

I was musing yesterday about the inequality of our world’s water supply. Some have more than enough and can often afford to waste it, whilst others have too little.

The same goes for food, so on this third Rogation Day I’m praying for a fairer sharing of the world’s food resources. Which, surprisingly, leads me on to the Silton vestry mouse.

Attracted immediately to some peanut butter, she has now been safely rehomed. Efforts are now underway to catch her friend, the bell tower mouse, who seems to have taken a liking to the bell ringers’ peppermints. (Photo by Peter Williams.) Now that’s food sharing!

Alleluia. Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia.
