Day 98 Revd Tim Heaton Thought for the Day

They say we’re about to get the hottest weather of the year so far. The swallows were out early this morning, riding the high currents, mouths open like nets to catch their insect breakfast.

They’re amazing creatures these summer visitors to our shores, who have come all the way from South Africa and Namibia. A journey of six thousand miles, covered at the rate of two hundred a day.

They’ve crossed the Congo rainforest, the Sahara desert, Morocco, Spain and France.

One world, think global.
